The software used to design the 3D components (escapement wheel and pendulum) was Autodesk Fusion 360, as well as Autodesk AutoCAD to prepare for laser cutting. The escapement wheel had fixed predetermined measurements in order to ensure the function of the clock, while the pendulum aspect was up to interpretation and required creativity. I decided on a butterfly design and imported an image to trace on Fusion. One important thing to add to the design was eight holes for later bolts that would add weight and ensure a well-placed center of mass.
In the end, I was very satisfied with the final result of my clock. The LaserCAMM helped bring my vision to life and the clock functioned well, keeping a steady tick.
