Currently, there are limited open-source solutions for researching the effects of low energy availability using mice models that are accurate, accessible, and low cost. These options are all individualized and do not follow one format in which they can be collaborated and expanded upon. It would be helpful in furthering the open-source design to have all of the data from these designs to be collected in one place so that the code can be optimized and future iterations can collect different types of data and increase efficiency.
