Surface Level Food Justice: Exposure to Agriculture is not Critical Analysis of our Food System

While leading tours and programs at Pie Ranch, it became apparent that a lack of educational cirriculum and an unbalanced distribution of staff between the farm and programs team made it difficult to convey relevant and meaningful information to visitors during programs. These hinderences in achieving their mission where exacerbated by a damaged organizational structure and the nature of the organization being a rural non-profit.
