FULL Diving into Santa Cruz (Navigating off-campus): A guide for mentees to explore Santa Cruz---categorizing and ranking different places, activities, etc. For example, things like off-campus communities, nature and exploration spots//locations, hidden//under utilized spots on campus, restaurants//activites in the Greater SC//Capitola area. Also would cover how to get places, utilizing the transportation system (such as purchasing bus tickets for San Jose---things in that realm). Presenter: Jayden Washington Samuels. Stevenson 151

Time Management: The Time Management Google Calendar Workshop is an interactive and hands-on session that focuses on utilizing Google Calendar as a powerful time management tool. The workshop is led by an experienced time management expert who will guide you through various techniques and best practices to optimize your daily schedule and make the most out of your time. Let's Talk About Money: Financial Wellness for College Students: This workshop will include information and discussions about how histories of discrimination and racism have contributed to a culture of financial silence and stress; and how we can use financial wellness as a framework for prioritizing our financial health - in school, with friends, and at home - in ways that are meaningful to us. We will also talk about the SlugCents Financial Wellness Program and resources we offer to help students with diverse experiences and understandings of money build the knowledge and skills they need to feel more confident about their financial decisions. Mentoring Up - How to get the mentorship you need and deserve: This interactive workshop uses tools such as personal reflection and scenarios to better understand the mentor-mentee relationship. Participants will learn how to proactively shape the mentoring relationship through intentional communication with mentors. Guide to Student Agency: We will go through a set of guidelines and instructions for how to best utilize student agency. This will include mentees taking the leadership compass test and them learning about the importance of having agency on campus and how it will transcend into spaces out of campus in the future. Maintaining Health and Wellness at Athletics & Recreation:  This workshop would include a presentation overview of the programs and services offered through the Department of Athletics & Recreation. The goal of this workshop is to provide undergraduate and graduate students with an overview of our facilities and programs offerings, and ultimately a greater understanding of the Department of Athletics & Recreation, who we are at our core, what we do, and what we offer, so that students feel knowledgeable, comfortable and welcome here at Athletics & Recreation going forward. Engaging YOUR Future: A Crash Course on SOMeCA: A workshop dedicated to educating students on student-led organizations on campus through SOMeCA. Intended to promote and practice student agency, SOMeCA supports students in creating, funding, and building their organizations to cultivate beneficial relationships with other students across campus. Innovations and Resources for you, Understanding UCSC as a Hispanic-Serving Institution: UCSC is a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) and with this eligibility regularly applies for grant-funded programs that are designed to meet the needs of our students in the areas of academic, career, transfer, sense of belonging and graduate pathways.  In this session, you will learn about the current programs we offer that you can participate in and programs you are eligible to apply to since UCSC is an HSI and a member of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU). Intersections of Black and Queer/Trans Identities: This space will provide participants the opportunity to explore navigating UCSC at the intersections of LGBTQIA2S+ identities and race/ethnicity, specifically Black and African American experiences.  The workshop will present strategies to overcome challenges while also creating an open space for questions and discussion.  Presenter delfin bautista and Melissa Chimwaza Stevenson 175

Surviving UCSC as a Black Student: A survival guide on how to navigate and exist at UCSC as a Black student. Will include things freshmen should know before coming to UCSC, tips, tricks, resources to use, and rules of thumb to live by. Advising them on how to conduct themselves during classes, how to get involved in the Black community, where to go when they want to feel a sense of belonging, where to go when they need help, how to form their own little community, and combating Imposter Syndrome.
