At the close of the 2024–2025 academic year, Stevenson Student Council ratified our constitution for the first time in over ten years, marking a historical moment. This important document now more accurately reflects the current structure, values, and vision of the council.
Serving as the foundational framework for how the council operates and is governed, the constitution outlines our powers and responsibilities. While its purpose is to provide clarity and structure, we believe it should remain a living document: one that evolves alongside the needs of our community. In doing so, we aim to continuously uphold our guiding theme of "Self and Society."
Each year, the Stevenson Student Council establishes a set of community guidelines at the beginning of Fall Quarter. These guidelines are designed to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all Stevensonians can thrive.
The document is collaboratively created by all members of the council, both voting and non-voting, to reflect a diverse range of perspectives and shared expectations. Once finalized and approved through a vote, these guidelines become a foundational part of the council's culture, and all members are expected to uphold and respect them throughout the year.
