November 10 5-6 PM | DSC Lab
Spring has sprung and we are excited to announce our upcoming Spring workshop. We listened to your suggestions and we are excited to say that we are putting together a “Graduate Student Panel”.
We hosted multiple graduate students from various academic disciplines who will first share their own personal research experiences and field questions from the general audience. It is sure to be a lively discussion and a great way to network with other interested individuals and get your questions answered around research.
DATE: March 4, 2020 5pm-6pm (PST)
During the event, we will hear from a few virtual interdisciplinary lab tours and then a representative from each will be in attendance to answer any questions. Some topics from each lab include:
What the lab researches
Types of projects
Daily research (For a neuroscience lab this may consist of PCRs and running gels to genotype mice.)
Fun/Cool research (Example for a neuroscience lab: Profuse brains)
Fun traditions your lab has
In support of our upcoming SURU event, the START team hosted our annual “Research Presenting Workshop” on November 18 and 19, 2020 at 5pm.
At this workshop, we talked about the different research presenting formats, tips and tricks for the respective formats, one-on-one support for your own presentations, research opportunities, and overall presentation tips and guidelines for SURU. This event is always open to all, but there will be sections directed towards the SURU 2020 presenters.
**Slides and recording were made available to registered attendees after event.
