The University of California Santa Cruz, and the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology is proud to host the GoDive Equipment Program.
At UCSC, we are aware that the cost of SCUBA equipment can be cost-prohibitive for some students . As a response to this concern, in 2023, the UCSC Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department created the GoDive program with the objective of increasing access to SCUBA equipment for a broader range of UCSC students. Available equipment includes BCDs, regulators, dive computers/pressure gauges, dive weights systems and wet/drysuits. Eligible applicants are loaned equipment for use in UCSC courses, training and reasearch.
If purchasing your own equipment, please review our helpful and insightful equipment hints here.
Special thanks to the Akin Family Foundation, whose generous contribution funded the initial creation of the GoDive Equipment Program.
