Explore Careers is a project that I am currently working on for Tech4Good under Professor David Lee.
Often youth feel unengaged or motivated in the process of career exploration. Our focus is to create an application that serves to encourage and engage youth to have more career exploration by using pre-existing content from social media platforms and comment-based apps. We also encourage users beyond by promoting reflection and by using our personalized guidance through various career activities.
I contributed to the design work and the experimentation of AI integration in ExploreCareers.
BridgeUs is a project that I am currently working on for Tech4Good under Professor David Lee.
Parents play critical roles in children's career development, but as children grow and dynamics change, it may be increasingly difficult to have authentic career exploration conversations between children. and parents. We invite children and adults to anonymous prompt-based group conversations in a classroom and corresponding group made up of parents to stimulate effective communication between one another.
I contributed to the design work including wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
Trained a deep neural network with roughly 1000 different images to recognize different objects from kinds of planes, food, flowers, etc. using pretrained models from Pytorch and TensorFlow. All in all my test accuracy was able to reach 70%.
O*NET is a website and a tool for career exploration and job analysis. Using the BeautifulSoup library on Python, I was able to create an organized data frame of all the occupations presented on O*NET where data can be retrieved and analyzed.
From 2017 to 2019 I worked on the development, design and database of the app, Kpop Random Dance Challenge. The app was able to attain a userbase of over 20,000 users around the world. I primarily served as the lead designer for the app and actively created, read, and updated data for the app.
