As a group based course, it is essential that you approach your peers with empathy and respect. Should there be a conflict that arises within the group, you are welcome to reach out to me, or your TA, if you cannot find a resolution among group members. Since we work together in class, it is essential that all students are respectful of each other and open to hearing other input, points of view, and ideas.
You are expected to clearly indicate when you use any external tools in your assignments. For certain problems or projects, you will be told explicitly if the use of outside tools or sources is not allowed. In all other cases, you may use such tools—as long as you cite them appropriately. This includes online calculators, such as WolframAlpha, math software, and artificial intelligence tools.
Please be aware that AI tools (such as ChatGPT or others) can produce incorrect or misleading results. These tools are designed to predict likely responses, not to follow mathematical rules. If you choose to use an AI tool, you are responsible for checking the accuracy of its output. You should also describe, in your own words, how you used the tool and how you verified the results when submitting your work.
