As a course assistant for Cosmos I lead transferable skills workshops where high school students learn skills on college applications, how to find and read scientific articles, and other skills useful for careers in ecology
I chaperone students to field trips and escort them to each of their classes

I worked on a project of creating a guide to upload our genomes to the NIH
I use linux to do analysis on sequences

I tutor stem subjects, such as physics and chemistry, for a program seeking to increase diversity in STEM by providing support services for UCSC students.
I teach students in large group 2 hour group sessions each week and lead several small group 1 hour tutoring sessions each week.
I also offer students mentoring on the college experience, signing up for classes, accessing campus resources, applying for grad school, etc.

I assisted in transplanting, mulching, weeding invasives, and conducted surveys using the following methods; bird surveys using binoculars, cover board surveys, small mammal traps, invert traps, and track pads.
