Giancarlo Barcia

Giancarlo Barcia is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. His research interests lie in International Finance and Macroeconomics. His current work explores the transmission of shocks from global financial markets to emerging economies, the role of firm heterogeneity in shaping aggregate dynamics, and the implications of natural capital for sovereign debt management.

In his free time, Giancarlo enjoys dancing salsa and bachata.
