My name is Evan Fitzhugh, I am [as of March 2026] a sophmore at UC Santa Cruz.
I am an undergraduate at UC Santa Cruz studying biotechnology and history. My work focuses on genome architecture and comparative genomics, including the role of isochores in large-scale genome organization. I am currently developing computational tools for genome segmentation and analysis, and I am also interested in the historical development of modern biology. I also study redress, civil rights, warcrime, and other historical topics.
