2-Methylcyclohexanol

• Measure corrected retention times (tR'), sec for the sample peaks

• Identify each peak by comparing tR's to those of the standards

• Integrate each sample peak to determine Area, A

  • Measure peak height, h

  • Locate point at half the height

  • Measure width at half the height, w(h/2)

  • A = h x w(h/2)

• Calculate % composition of the sample

  • Add the peak areas together = Atot

  • Divide each individual peak area by the Atot
