Celebrating Black Futures

 The Black Futures Celebration is an event featuring an award ceremony, honored speakers, and a screening of the film Soul on Ice (2015). This event serves as a celebration of the resiliency and successes of the Black community on campus, as well as space to facilitate community discussion. The inaugural Black Futures Brunch is scheduled for Saturday, February 18th, 2023 at 11am at the Stevenson Event Center. Following the event, registered guests who received game tickets will depart at 6pm for the San Jose Sharks' Black History Month Game at the SAP Center in San Jose.
