The Innovations and Initiatives Showcase promotes the sharing of ideas, information, and advising practices as a core part of our advising culture at UCSC. Join campus staff for a brief overview of their innovation and/or initiative and use this time to ask questions, learn more about the efforts, and the work of those that have made these possible. It is a great opportunity to network and consider how these might connect with your advising practice or work in general!

Institutional Research, Assessment, and Policy Studies (IRAPS) Dashboards

Description: The IRAPS dashboards provide tools for advisors to help students in a number of areas. This includes helping Undeclared students select a major and helping students who want to switch majors choose a new major.
GANAS Graduate Pathways

Leave of Absence (LOA) Returnee Outreach Project

Description: An outreach initiative to students returning from LOA created and executed by a team of academic advising staff from the Office of Campus Advising Coordination and student support staff from the Division of Student Affairs and Success (DSAS) to re-engage these students, help them prepare for their return, and connect them with relevant resources.
UCSC Global Learning: SlugsAbroad Profile

Description: UCSC Global Learning designed and launched an online profile in SlugsAbroad, our application management system. The profile is a student's first step to learn more about global learning opportunities before applying to a program, and it is mutually beneficial in that it collects data for advisors to better serve students, and it provides critical and tailored information necessary for student success.

Multicultural Advising Conference (MAC)
