The ACCESS diving team hosts free SCUBA experiences, where students have the opportunity to try SCUBA diving first-hand in 5 feet of water, with 1:1 instruction provided by a qualified diving instructor.
Students who need the extra training or boost in confidence to get underwater should join one of the SCUBA PREP Experiences before joining the SCUBA experience!
Other activities that students will have the opportunity to experience during the SCUBA days are: a Virtual Reality SCUBA experience, practicing techniques for underwater data collection (among common kelp forest species), handling and assembling SCUBA gear.
Please note that, as part of the experience, students will be required to participate in both a pre-experience orientation and post-experience debrief meeting.

Prior to each SCUBA experience, we offer a SCUBA PREP Experience to help coach students with little experience in the water.
