There will be two events on Friday Jun 13:
The Undergraduate Gathering - celebrating all Physics and Astronomy Majors (2PM)
The Undergraduate Graduation Ceremony (3:30 PM)

Parking is in Lot 6 and is free after 12 noon
Program:
2:00 PM Undergraduate Celebration
Includes Panel discussion of returning alumni on "life after graduation". The members of the panel will include returning grad students as well as people working in industry. Of couse there will be the "fun awards" for everyone, a few serious awards, and remarks by Richard Seto, Vice Chair, on the program and the recognition from the American Physics Society the department received this year, and the climate we all face as we pursue science.
3:30 PM Graduation Ceremony
The Keynote speaker will be Prof. Barry Barish, winner of the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physics for the discovery of gravitational waves, and director of the UCR Center for Experimental Cosmology and Instrumentation (CECI), followed by student awards, and the Departmental granting of your sashes.
5:00 PM Reception
6:00 PM Frontiers of Cosmology Public Lecture Sponsored by UCR Center for Experimental Cosmology and Instrumentation (CECI), given by Ramamurti Shankar from. Yale University on Qantum Mechanics.
