I was a Ph.D. student in Computer Science and Engineering department at UC, Riverside starting from 2015 to 2020. My advisor is Prof. Zizhong Chen. During my PhD studies, I also did a long-term internship advised by Dr. Sheng Di and Dr. Franck Cappello at Argonne National Laboratory. I hold a B.S. degree majored in math awarded by a beautiful university, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, in China.
My broad research area is High Performance Computing (HPC). Specifically, I am focusing on improving the parallel I/O performance by lossy compression for scientific simulation and hardening the resilience of sorting algorithms by ABFT (Algorithm Based Fault Tolerance) for large scale supercomputers.
I graduated with my doctoral degree in December, 2020 and am now a research scientist at Facebook.
