An aspiring researcher with a background in molecular biology & genetics, who started to learn "Earth and Planetary Sciences" as a Ph.D. student at UCR. I follow research, avidly and as a routine basis, trying to understand innovative and emerging areas of multidisciplinary research fields. I have the experience of working within different research environments and really enjoy teaching, teamwork, scientific networking, and research collaborations. I am used to learning new skills and different techniques not only in cell and molecular biology but also in geochemistry as well as astronomy and am eager to learn more. I am flexible in terms of research topics but have a particular interest in the fields of space biosciences and astrobiology. I pursue the age-old questions about the origin and evolution of life on Earth and beyond! Currently, my research is around the history of biological metal utilization in ancient organisms on our planet; I try to study the evolution of metalloproteins and metalloenzymes using genomics data and phylogenetic analysis.
