Doctoral Research in Mathematical Biology
Investigating multiscale computational models of human skin integrating cellular behavior, biochemical signaling, and tissue mechanics. Application include but are not limited to the study of pathological skin conditions, skin-aging, and wound healing. Current project: studying model assumptions that could allow the wavelike dermal–epidermal junction to emerge naturally during skin development. Collaborating with skin biologist Prof. Maksim Plikus (UC Irvine) toward experimental evaluation of model predictions.

Investigated distance correlation-based feature slection for random forest regression, identifying conditions in which the method outperformed existing approaches.

Undergraduate Research in Mathematics & Physics
Mathematics Senior Thesis (2019): Investigated methods for constructing sequences avoiding p-term arithmetic progressions, motivated by Erdös's sum of reciprocals conjecture.
Physics Senior Thesis (2019): Examined theoretical and experimental claims of anomalous gravitational frame-dragging effects associated with rotatting superconductors, focusing on research by Martin Tajmar.
Summer Undergraduate Research (2017): Conducted computational analysis of molecular microwave spectra to identify promising candidates for electron electric dipole moment (eEDM) experiments. Research conducted in Hannover, Germany, with Professor R. Mawhorter.
