Academic Honesty

Honor Your Word and Work

Submitting Original Work

I am very excited to see and praise your learning throughout the course with feedback and comments on your assignments. Since this class is about your learning, you will only be evaluated on what original work you create on your own.

Compton College places a high value on the integrity of its student scholars and academic honesty is a key part of growing as a scholar. Throughout the semester you will be reading, watching, and listening to the work of other scholars to support your learning. You will be tasked in all of your assignments to engage with these works in an ethical way. Which means if you use the work of others you must properly use citations and give credit to the work of others.

You all have brilliance to share and you should honor yourself by only turning in work that is your own. I will assist you with this by providing a plagiarism pre-check in Canvas for all written assignments. Additionally you will have the opportunity to submit drafts and do peer review of your 3 major assignments (Midterm, Conscious Content Creator, & Final Zine) before submitting a final draft.
