Work-Based Learning

CTE has many different opportunites for students to gain real world, career experience before they even graduate high school.

Internships

• Students must have completed two courses in the same career cluster (i.e. Sports Marketing I and Sports Marketing II). Must be a CTE concentrator!

• Students must be a rising senior to apply (or a current senior applying for second semester). For more requirements, click here.

• Apply on Major Clarity (on the Work-Based Learning page under "local opportunities").

• Deadlines for applications:

  • SUMMER! April 15, 2022

  • 1st semester- May 1, 2022

  • 2nd semester medical- Oct. 1, 2022

  • 2nd semester non-medical- Oct. 15, 2022

Marketing Co-Op

• Making connections from marketing courses to the real-world of business

• Students must have completed a marketing course or are currently enrolled in a marketing course.

• Contact your CDC to apply.

Pre-Apprenticeships (HVAC & Manufacturing)

• Develop technical skill and get paid while finishing high school! Graduate high school with a AAS Technology Degree from SPCC.

• Students must be a rising senior. (Rising junior for HVAC).

• Students must be available to begin the summer before senior year (Manfacturing only).
