TENTS
Union County Public Schools does not allow tents to be placed in the stands at any stadium. Please do not set up team tents in the stands as you will be asked to remove them. Tents may be placed at the top of the home stands next to the press box, but not near the fencing where vendors will be set up. Tents may also be placed anywhere along the path down to the away bleachers/second concession stand area. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
PACKET PICK-UP
All athletes and coaches will enter at the entrance closest to the tennis courts and traffic circle. Packets will be available for pick-up at this entrance. Athletes and coaches will receive wristbands that must be worn at all times.
We will not have heat sheets in the packets — everything will be available online before and during the event.
ATHLETIC TRAINERS
Certified athletic trainers from Cuthbertson High School and Atrium Health will be onsite. Schools not traveling with a trainer should send necessary supplies (tape, pre-wrap, etc.), as we will have a limited supply. All injuries or medical emergencies should be reported to the athletic trainer, located either in the training room or the medical tent.
COACHES BOX
There will not be a coaches box at the regional meet, just like at the state meet. Coaches should not be on the infield unless they are serving as meet officials. High Jump, long jump, and triple jump coaches must coach from outside the fence. Pole Vault is the only exception to this rule and coaches will be able to coach their pole vaulters from the infield. All Pole Vault coaches must have NCHSAA approval to be on the infield.
TIMING
Timing will be provided by Pierre Timing. Live results can be found at pierretiming.com.
AWARDS
Awards for the top three finishers in each event will be presented at midfield immediately after the final heat. Please have your athletes stay to receive their awards and be recognized. Team awards will be presented after the conclusion of the meet.
OUTSIDE FOOD AND DRINK
Union County Public Schools does not allow outside food or drink unless it is brought in by a team coach at the team entrance. Coolers may only enter through this entrance. Parents and spectators will not be allowed to bring in food or drink.
CLEAR BAG POLICY
All spectator bags must be clear and will be checked at the entrance. Athletes must use the athlete entrance with their team if bringing bags.

If an athlete is in a field event and gets a first call for a running event, they should check out of their event and check-in at the Clerk’s Table and then return to the field event. Event judges will be instructed to allow athletes to go “out of turn” if necessary. The Clerk will be instructed to not “hold” athletes competing in field events. It is the responsibility of the athlete to report to the starting line for their event. It is the responsibility of the coach and the athlete to report to the starting line for their event.
