Hi Parents and Students! My name is Kimberly Maggio. Welcome to my class! I am so excited to be your 4th/5th grade AIG Language Arts and Math teacher. I have been teaching for 18 years and still love it! I have taught 5th grade for 5 years, 7th grade for 3 years, I was a Literacy Facilitator, 8th grade Honors for 3 years, and 6th grade Honors for 3 years. I began my career in 2007 in Union County, and I am so happy to be coming back to where it all began.
I have been married for 13 years to my wonderful husband Andrew and we have two wonderful children Matthew and Savannah. Both kids have been in the Dual Language Spanish program at Poplin since Kindergarten. My daughter is a rising 4th grader at Unionville and my son a rising 7th grader at Piedmont Middle. I spend most of my evenings running around to acting classes and baseball, but I would not change it for the world!
I am committed to providing your child with a positive, safe and challenging learning experience and want the best for their academic success. I hold very high expectations for my students so they can become responsible citizens. I expect my students to always challenge themselves to do their personal best, demonstrate self-respect by treating others with respect, show self-discipline by following school rules and procedures, and learn to be more responsible and organized with their time as they become 21st century learners here at Unionville Elementary.

Food: I love Chick-Fil-A, pretzels, water and cinnamon candy!
Book: I cannot decide! I am an avid reader-I often lose sleep in order to finish reading a book!

Sweet or Salty: I love sweets!!
Season: I love the summer because I can spend time with my family, but Fall is definitely my favorite!
Hobby: Reading, I’m a little crazy when I read. I’ll be up until 2am because I can’t put a book down. I also love to run, exercise and I play co-ed softball.
Favorite Store: Amazon-I love the convenience of it!

Teams: Philadelphia Phillies (baseball) Michigan Wolverines (football) I am from Michigan so I grew up watching football with my dad!
