Aletha Buck

Aletha Buck is an award-winning portrait, commercial and wedding photographer based in Monroe, North Carolina. Aletha first fell in love with the camera when documenting the Medieval minstrel carvings in Beverley Minster while studying at the School of Music at the University of Huddersfield, England. Aletha's current projects include a fine art series featuring dancers which will be completed Fall of 2021. When she's not behind her camera or in front of her computer, Aletha spends her time traveling, collecting old film slides, vsiting farmers' markets and cooking. Aletha and her husband have three Yorkshire Terriers named Armani, Bentley and Alfa.

Her art form of visual storytelling conveys moments of interactions with the muses of jazz music and nature. Christina works primarily with paint and non-traditional materials and is known by her mark making and layers upon layers of color. Her art form of visual storytelling conveys moments of interactions with the muses of jazz music and nature. The philosophy that everything is a product of an experience and an extension of self frames each work conveying stories of movement and ideas of color through light, lines, and layers.
