Structure of Unit
The Family Consumer Sciences Unit at UCM is composed of the Family and Consumer Sciences Education (FCSE) and the Fashion and Apparel Merchandising (FAME) programs. The unit is Accredited by the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS). Unit administrators are Krystle Gremaud, Ed.D. and Melissa Abner, Ph.D. who also serve as program coordinators for the accredited programs

Unit Mission: The Family Consumer Sciences Unit prepares students to become caring and compassionate individuals in a diverse and sustainable global environment. These programs are structured to develop confident lifelong learners who recognize behavioural and technological changes over the lifespan to support community vitality, individual well-being, and family systems. (Update approved by advisory board March 4, 2020)
Goals:
