Providing a safe and caring environment for learners to promote growth and a love for reading.
Long-Term Goals:
Provide proficient and professional knowledge to the teaching, leading, and guidance of all students.
Students become motivated and independent learners/readers.
The library is a space where the school community feels safe to gather, share ideas, utilize resources, and learn with one another.
Objectives:
Goal 1-
The librarian will provide guidance, support, and directions to meet the needs of all staff and students, in addition to meeting state and district standards.
The library will provide access to high-quality resources in a variety of formats that support curricular and instructional goals and respond to diverse student needs and interests.
Goal 2-
Students will successfully access and utilize library resources.
Students will engage in independent reading, and master appropriate grade level skills in literacy.
Goal 3-
The library is welcoming and promotes collaboration among students and staff. The librarian will conduct quarterly book club meetings throughout the year with grade levels and staff.
The librarian will collaborate with staff to correlate instruction and curriculum among all grade levels within the building to meet the needs of all learners. In addition, will provide resources and professional development on using such resources.
