Predoctoral Researcher in Astrophysics | Tracing Cosmic Dust Across the Universe
Afternoon at the Artouste lake (France), August 2024. Credits: L. Arriscado.
I’m Leonor Arriscado, a first-year PhD researcher in extragalactic astrophysics at the Centro de Astrobiología (CAB), CSIC-INTA, Madrid. I am part of the DistantDust ERC team.
My research focuses on galaxy growth at cosmic noon (z ~ 1-3), the peak epoch of star formation in the Universe. I combine high-resolution observations from JWST, VLT, Keck, and ALMA to trace dust, gas, and star formation, shedding light on the evolution of galaxies during this pivotal chapter of cosmic history.
