Principal Colquitt is a proud School District of University City alumna, graduating in 1998. Upon graduation, she pursued post graduate studies at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Mrs. Colquitt is certified in Middle School (5-9) Language Arts in 2003, K-12 Special Reading in 2015 and K-8 School Leadership (2019). Mrs. Colquitt has been an educator of 15 years.

Jessica Hawkins is an educator of 11 years. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri, Masters in Social Work from St. Louis University and an Educational Specialist degree in School Leadership from Webster University. After teacher for seven years, Jessica joined the District in 2017 as a Teacher Instructional Leader. Having experience in both urban and suburban school settings, Mrs. Hawkins has been able to truly see the inequities across the St. Louis area. She is strongly committed to dismantling systems of that do not seek to benefit all students. Her desire is to ensure Pershing is a place where all students and staff have a voice and are empowered to take risks, ask questions and dream big.
