Ms. Fannie Belle

Theatre/Cinema from Texas Southern University in Houston, TX. A versatile performer on stage and in film she has captured the hearts of many while performing in “The Crucible,” “Marvin’s Room,” “For Colored Girls,” “The Colored Museum,” “The Ride Down Mt. Morgan”, and “Boesman and Lena.” Fannie’s one woman show, “Women of Tears and Laughter: An Evening with Alberta Hunter and Moms Mabley” was featured at the Vienna Arts Festival in Austria, the Kauno Sokio Theatre in Lithuania and at the Bistro in St. Louis. On Film she can be seen in “White Palace,” “The George McKenna Story,” and “Joint Body.” Fannie has lectured as an adjunct at SIUE and continues to conduct arts education workshops for schools and various community cultural institutions.

Currently, she is the Creative Arts Instructor at Julia Goldstein Early Childhood Center in University City. Fannie is a Community Arts Training (CAT) alumnus, a 2014 Regional Arts Commission Artist Fellow and is Artistic Director of A Call to Conscience Interactive Theater For Social Change.
