The Institute for Meaningful Engagement (TIME) is an NSF-funded, research-informed, professional development project that seeks to address the impact of classroom culture, inclusive curriculum development, and pedagogy, on retention and persistence efforts for minoritized students in STEM. The professional development series is positioned in the postsecondary context to provide higher education professionals with curriculum that enhances their understanding of access, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to strengthen a sense of belonging for students. Through our partnership with Santa Ana College, and engagement with STEM education organizations (e.g., ASEE), TIME seeks to advance the national conversation about faculty engagement in STEM.
