Performances of "Railroad", directed by Chloe King
Railroad is a play of intense humanity spiraling into the black hole of the Holocaust. Three families from three cultures span four generations over two eras to reveal the horrors of confinement, the joys of childish dreams, the lack of air, the power of faith, and the freedom of flight. Centripetal, centrifugal, and reeling by turns, the play emerges from the defining center of the 20th century to arrive at the trembling imbalance of the present day.

May 16 @ 7:00 PM

“Poland is not yet lost …” is a provocation exploring both the seduction and dangers of nationalism. It is written, directed and performed by Polish Jews, Dorota Abbe, born in Poland and Michael Rubenfeld, a native of Canada, who play versions of themselves in the performance. Structured much like a political rally, the audience is invited to imagine Poland’s incredible possible future Jewish reality; a world of equality … for all Jewish people.

Visited by the ghosts of Venice past, present, and future, Zelda learns of the vibrant history of her community – the visions of Abbot Kinney, the dreams of migrant families, and the inspiration for generations of artists and creatives.
