I was a UCI Calculus II Learning and Academic Resource Center Tutorial Leader during my sophomore to senior year of undergraduate. I held tutorial sessions and midterm and final review sessions for undergraduate students taking calculus II at UC Irvine to supplement what they were learning in their lectures. Above are a few of the awesome students I had throughout my three years. I really enjoyed playing icebreakers with my students and our silliness and mistakes made during class, and appreciated the math knowledge and all the encouragement and support I received from my students. Â
The video below was my "Shoot My Shot" mnemonic to help students memorize the trigonometric substitution table and an example of solving an integral using that method.
Below the video are the review sheet and the presentations that I made. I would go through them with my students and modify them accordingly for the quarter. I created answer keys and posted them up on Canvas for students to review. Note that sessions starts Week 2 Session 1 and Week 3 Session 2 and Week 4 Session 1 have the same material because each quarter has either one of these sessions as a holiday.Â
