My Favorite Pieces of Artworks From This Quarter

Aside from the typical books, essays and autobiographies one is required to read as a Humanities Core student, this quarter I had the pleasure of discussing and analyzing multiple pieces of artwork through a series of lecture delivered by UCI Professor of Art History and African American Studies, Professor Bridget R Cooks as well as through my seminar instructor Professor Morse. Given that I as well as the rest of the Humanities Core students spent the first 3 weeks of the quarter analyzing artwork from artists such as Carrie Mae Weems, Sanford Biggers and Titus Kaphar, I felt it would only be fitting to include some of my favorite pieces of artwork that I learned about this quarter. Included with the image, title and artist with each artwork will be a link with more information about each piece for those who wish to learn more.
