Travel and Hotel

The 2025 conference hotel will again be the Irvine Marriott (18000 Von Karman Ave, Irvine, CA 92612). While the group rate is no longer available, you can still try to book a room at the hotel at the regular rate here. The conference itself will take place on the UC Irvine campus so you are free to stay at any hotel. But we will have shuttle service to/from campus only at this hotel.

We recommend that you fly into John Wayne Airport (less than 5 miles to UC Irvine).

1. Saturday morning - Bus will pick up from the Hotel at 8:15, 8:45, 9:15 am and drop off at UCI Lot 7 

2. Saturday evening - Bus will pick up from UCI Lot 7 at 5:30, 6:00, 6:30 pm and drop off at Hotel
   
   

Sunday January 19, 2025

3. Sunday morning - Bus will pick up from the Hotel at 7:45, 8:15, 8:45 am and drop off at UCI Lot 7

4. Sunday afternoon- Bus will pick up from UCI Lot 7 at 1:00, 2:00 pm and drop off at Hotel

Driving and Parking

The meeting will take place in the Anteater Learning Pavilion.   Parking will be nearby in lot 7 (search "UCI lot 7"on google maps for driving directions) or the Mesa Parking Structure. Please note that there is a slightly different code each day for payment. 

Parking using our event code is $16 / day and is only good for Lot 7. The campus uses an online "Park by Plate" system (it requires your license plate # and uses a credit card for payment, link here):

University of California faculty from other campuses may be eligible to use the UC parking reciprocity system. More information on this program can be found here.

For attendees of optional Friday workshops, it is recommended that you use the Mesa Parking Structure (unmarked parking stalls) as Lot 7 is faculty/staff parking and our academic term has already begun. The "Park by Plate" event code for Friday in the Mesa Parking Structure is SW@UCI. A direct link for Friday parking in the Mesa structure is here.  

Please use these links for parking.  You can pay for parking by following permanent signage in the Mesa Parking Structure and Lot 7, but it may be at a higher rate than if you use our event code.
