We invite submissions to the CausalRL Workshop, which will be held on August 5th, 2025, as part of the Reinforcement Learning Conference (RLC 2025). This workshop brings together researchers exploring the intersection of Reinforcement Learning (RL) and Causal Inference, with a focus on advancing decision-making under uncertainty through causal reasoning.
Topics of Interest:
We welcome contributions including theoretical insights, algorithmic innovations, empirical studies, and position papers on topics such as (but not limited to):
• Causal representation learning for RL
• Causal discovery and structural learning in versatile environments (MDPs, POMDPs, or even general SCMs)
• Policy/value learning via counterfactual reasoning
• Offline RL with unobserved confounders
• Causal approaches to generalization, robustness, and safe decision-making
• Multi-agent learning
By bridging RL and Causality, this workshop aims to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration, define open challenges, and shape future research at the intersection of these two fields.
