Worldbuilding is the imaginative process of creating and expanding an imaginary or fictional universe. It is an essential component of many artistic activities, such as literature, movies, and video games. The purpose of worldbuilding is to create a rich and immersive environment that feels believable and coherent, allowing spectators to suspend their disbelief and connect with the world that has been created.
One of my favorite examples of worldbuilding is the prominent Nintendo game "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild". This game is technically open-world which means the player is allowed to interact with every single object that is present in the world. They are given the freedom to explore and to interact with the world in whatever way they choose to. I believe this is a key characteristic of worldbuilding: the perspective of each person experiencing the world differs.
