Hello!

My name is Katelyn Kim, I'm an undeclared first-year attending UCI. Welcome to my perspective of worldbuilding both in literature, various mediums of art, and here on campus in the present and past.

Understanding My Lense 

Is this a glorified "about me" section? Yes. 

There are plenty of factors in my life that have shaped who I am today, and as a result how I view the world. 

I was raised in a predominantly East Asian suburb in the greater Los Angeles area, and stayed there all throughout my life until now. Needless to say, I am pretty lucky compared to most others like me in the States. I am a Korean-Chinese American whose parents who immigrated here as young teens. I'm also a middle child....which might say a lot. 

I enjoy watching movies, hearing live music, making playlists, exploring new places, spending time with people I love, playing with dogs, performing with music ensembles, eating delicious foods, dying of laughter, getting emotional over EVERYTHING, and using Oxford commas :D

As you read through my activites, I am sure that voices from different parts of myself, from my perspective as a child of many cultures, as a POC that grew up in a POC bubble, as a performer, and much more, will make an appearance. I hope this information helps in your understanding of who I am and why I hold certain beliefs.
