Something in particular I find facinating about the concept of worldbuilding is that it makes me think of building blocks; and in order to keep advancing and improving, we must continue to add new blocks to create the world we know today. For instance, the inclusive and supportive student community we have here at UCI would not have been possible without the ephemera of protests or flyers such as the ones below. I like to think of these perserved items as building blocks that contributed to the campus community of UCI that we know of today.
One of the many unique things about UCI, is the popular petr the anteatr stickers drops made throughout campus.
These creative stickers feature our school's mascot wearing different items of clothing based on a set theme. The stickers mainly have Peter dressed as a fan-favorite character, such as batman--as featured in the bottom left-hand side of the first picture below.

From providing support in the Latinx community, to having a Women's resource center, both provide a safe space for two distinct communities.
Holding cultural events such as Mecha's Carne Asada Tacos (as shown in the bottom image) helps unify people from the latinx community to feel both seen and represented on campus.
The women's resource center also allows for women of different backgrounds to come together and strive for excellence.

Similar to all the individuals Professor Robertson has referenced in his Lectures, like Tan Malaka and Salaria Kea, these people found an appeal in communism and took their own paths in advocating and spreading the ideas of the communist party. These individuals were building blocks to the spread and activism of communism, similar to how the flyers and pictures in the Langson library represent a moment in time at UCI that served as a building block for the UCI community we have and know today.
