Katie Mendel recently graduated from the college of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University with a double major in computer science and math with a minor in accounting. During her time as an undergrad, she worked as a research assistant, an experience made possible by a grant from the Clare Boothe Luce Foundation. She is looking forward to starting a full time position at Optum Health in the fall.

My name is Chris, and I am super excited to be able to partake in this special summer program regarding the idea of ethics. I am very curious upon the science of decision making and how it leads to the idea of ethics. Furthermore, I want to be able to be able to differentiate what exactly is ethical and unethical, and how I can make more ethical decisions during my lifetime.

Sophie is a junior at Sage Hill School who aspires to be a doctor. She plays soccer and runs track for her school team. In addition, Sophie also plays violin and has an interest in classical music.
