Fall Quarter Reflection

This has been an interesting and somewhat stressful first quarter of university. Adjusting to homesickness and new friends has been both fun and difficult, independence and novelty comes with responsibility and unfamiliarity. Another thing is that my classes have been much harder than I expected. They're definitely manageable, but I wasn't expecting my first quarter courses to compare to some of the hardest parts of my high school years. 

For HUM core specifically, it's been interesting to be tested this much in terms of literary analysis and my ability to engage with literature. This is the first class where rhetorical analysis has been a centerpiece rather than simple summary and analysis. Looking to the future, I'm looking forward to seeing what we'll do next, where I'm hoping to do more historical analysis in conjunction with such literary work.
