Mission Statement
The mission of the UC Irvine Subunit of the American Fisheries Society is to inclusively educate students on the economic, cultural, and ecological importance of local fisheries and fostering sustainable practices in aquatic and marine fields. Through networking, outreach, and hands-on experiences, we connect students with diverse individuals and provide valuable experiences. We aim to create a welcoming environment that encourages active participation, shaping informed individuals dedicated to responsible stewardship of our aquatic resources.
