Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. Prior to that, I obtained a Ph.D in  mathematics at the University of California, Davis, under the supervision of Tudor Dimofte and Eugene Gorskiy. 

My research is within the area of representation theory related to twists of supersymmetric quantum field theories, particularly the holomorphic-topological twists. Mathematically, I am interested in chiral categories and meromorphic tensor categories arising from these theories. I use methods from algebraic geometry, enumerative geometry and integrable systems to rigorously define and study these categories.

I have had a variety of teaching and leadership experiences. At UC Davis, in addition to the quarterly TA duties, I was the instructor for four undergraduate level courses. At Perimeter Institute, I directed a research program for undergraduate students through the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, and organized a conference in the field of representation theory and holomorphic-topological field theories. I am passionate about teaching mathematics at the college level, and believe that it is not merely a tool for other sciences, but a fundamental aspect of intellectual development. 

While studying in China as an undergraduate student, I was involved in many charity initiatives involving the education of middle school and high school students. 

I enjoy spending the rest of my time with my small but growing family.
