When I'm not doing math, I like to practice film photography on my 1980 Nikon Fe! Some of my favorite shots so far:
Taken at the Como Park Conservatory in Minneapolis, Minnesota while on vacation
This is a picture of a Davis bikepath taken on a summer sunset. The usage of a wide angle lens has the effect of pushing the end of the path "out to infinity"--an effect I quite liked for this shot.
Taken in Lincoln Nebraska while I was at the 2024 Trisectors Conference
Sometimes the shutters on older cameras get stuck, leading to some interesting artifacts getting left on the film. This is one of those cases.
The title of the picture includes the phrase "first shot" in quotes because it was the first shot on the roll of film--leading to the distinct white and orange "burn" on the bottom of the image--the boundary of which matches the colors of the sunrise. The picture was also taken on my recent visit to Minnesota.
