Since 1952, the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Theta Xi at UC Davis has been dedicated to shaping college men into leaders, preparing them for successful careers and graduate studies, all while offering a supportive, home-like environment. With a network of over 1,300 active alumni and a rich history, our chapter stands as one of the longest continuously running fraternities on campus. As part of Theta Xi’s national brotherhood with more than 50 active chapters across the country, our members have the opportunity to forge lifelong connections and expand their horizons nationwide. We are proud to maintain a non-hazing culture, ensuring a safe, respectful, and positive experience for all our members.

THE PURPOSE

Our fraternity is guided by our purpose, which inspires us to strive for excellence in everything we do. Whether it's through leadership, academic achievement, or service to others, we are committed to becoming the best versions of ourselves while supporting each other along the way.

The Purpose of Theta Xi is to provide a college home environment for its active members in which fellowship and alumni guidance lead to wholesome mental, moral, physical, and spiritual growth. To that end Theta Xi actively supports and augments college and community efforts to make individual members more mature and chapter groups more useful units of society. Through its alumni and undergraduate leadership Theta Xi endeavors to assist each member to develop:

ONE, intellectual curiosity that assures the highest scholarship rating consistent with his ability;

TWO, habits that lead to better mental and physical health;

THREE, sincerity in his association with others and confidence in himself;

FOUR, responsibility to chapter, college, community, and country;

FIVE, leadership that comes from practicing the principles of democratic self-government;

SIX, interests and activities outside regular scholastic studies that employ spare time to advantage;

SEVEN, spiritual understanding that provides a reservoir of strength to draw upon when faced with conditions beyond comprehension.

COMMUNITY

Theta Xi is committed to giving back by supporting the MS Foundation and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento. We also volunteer with UC Davis Housing Services and the Davis Community Gardens, actively contributing to our campus and local community.

ALUMNI

With over 1,300 alumni, our brothers have pursued incredible careers across the country. Recent graduates have launched their own businesses and secured positions at leading corporations, including Microsoft, Costco, and Golden One Credit Union.

SCHOLARSHIPS

The Beta Epsilon Scholarship Fund offers a range of scholarship opportunities, including $100 for each quarter a student achieves a GPA above 3.3, four leadership scholarships, and a scholarship for those in graduate school.

THE HOUSE

Built in 2023, our house sits at the corner of First and D Streets in Downtown Davis. As the newest fraternity house on campus, it features three libraries, a basketball court, and plenty of outdoor space where brothers can study, play, or relax.
