4-H Resident Camp is one of the highlights of the 4-H year!

Campers are divided into groups with youth staff members as leaders. The groups meet every day to plan skits, play sports, have craft time, and have fun. Being in a group allows campers to meet new youth and make life-long friendships!

Check out how much fun we had last year!

Activities vary each day, and include:

What to Expect

Week-long overnight camp.

Teen staff guide campers throughout camp activities

Adult chaperones supervise health & safety of campers.

The food at camp is prepared by experienced cooks and there is a nurse on-site at all times.

General items that can be brought to camp include a sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, toiletries, daily change of clothes, reusable water bottle, and towels.

Camp Gold Hollow is an overnight camp located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Nevada City, California - the heart of gold country. Camp Gold Hollow on Lake Vera is approximately 90 minutes from Sacramento. Founded in 1944, it is owned and operated by the Golden Empire Council of Camp Fire Boys and Girls. Nestled in a pine forest, Camp Gold Hollow is on the edge of a private lake fed by two mountain streams. This camp site offers warm days and cool evenings.
