Session Description:
How to find the overall balance of healthy living with your 4-H, school, home, and other responsibilities.
Ashley Jordan has been involved with 4-H her entire life. She held several leadership positions within 4-H including County Ambassador, Assistant Area Director, State Ambassador, and National Conference delegate. Ashley has received several 4-H awards including Youth in Action finalist, Diamond Clover, and Golden Clover awards. Her experience in 4-H allowed her to be accepted to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where she recently earned her bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communications. She now works at the only all-female agricultural appraisal and brokerage firm in California and spends her time visiting and valuing commercial agricultural properties throughout California.

Session Description:
Learn what makes a game useful
in different situations.
Curtis Ullerich was a 4-H'er in Iowa and has volunteered extensively with 4-H there and in California. He led the California 4-H Management Board, advised two County Ambassador teams, co-directed a summer camp, and developed 4-H STEM curricula at the state and national levels used by hundreds of thousands of youth, among other things. He is a Software Engineer at Google, where he builds platforms for teaching young people STEM, with an emphasis on symbolic math systems. Recently his free time has been devoted to building computer music systems, running over the Santa Cruz Mountains, and woodworking.

Bio: The California 4-H State Ambassador Program is a working honor that provides these special 4-H members expanded opportunities to serve and promote the University of California 4-H Youth Development Program.

The World Of Veterinary Medicine
Session Description:
Learn about everything there is to know about the veterinary field!
Dr. Jeanne Haggerty-Arcay received her undergraduate degrees in Biology, Biochemistry and Spanish from the College of Notre Dame in Belmont, California. She then went on the graduate from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002 with an emphasis in Mixed Animal Medicine. Having been raised in the Bay Area, she returned to continue practicing both large and small animal medicine. While growing up, Jeanne was a 4-H member in Santa Clara County. She is currently a 4-H Volunteer in San Martin 4-H Club.

Session Description:
In a world that seems increasingly loud and chaotic, the values 4-H instills provide a foundation for youth to rise to the top. Whether you are raising animals on a farm or building code for the metaverse, 4-H gives you
the skills, network, and confidence to
jumpstart your future.
In 2017, Rita Bosworth founded and served as executive director of a civic engagement non-profit, and in 2021, she served as a Deputy Attorney General in the California Attorney General’s office. Currently, Rita is Senior Legal Counsel on the Civil Rights Team at Meta. Rita was an El Sereno 4-H Club member for ten years.
As a youth, Rita served as a Santa Clara County All-Star, a California State 4-H Diamond Star, and a National 4-H Conference delegate.

Susan Weaver

Make Room for the Good Stuff
Session Description:
When we focus on our challenges, or the negatives around us, we often pass up opportunities that
provide the "good-stuff."
In this session, we will do some hands on activities and make a plan to achieve our goals.
Susan Weaver has served as a 4-H volunteer for more than 20 years. While participating with her husband and four children, Susan has led cavy, rabbit, ceramics, cooking, baking, and cake decorating projects. Her true passion is finding opportunities for youth to grow and lead.
As the Regional 4-H Program Coordinator, Susan supervises the Bay Area 4-H Programs in Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, San Francisco, and Santa Clara Counties.
