Audrey (she/her) is a 2024 graduate of the University of California-Davis with a B.S. in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning. She joined the UC Davis community as a Regents Scholar and transfer admit of the University Honors Program (UHP) in 2022. Prior to transferring, she studied Environmental Science and Policy at Smith College. Audrey has substantial research experience, having spent a gap year researching the impacts of microfiber pollution and a summer performing ethnographic research on non point source pollution in Wisconsin. Her passion for researching issues of water quality, access, and management is reflected in her UHP Signature Work. For this project, Audrey explored California's exclusion of Japanese farmers from property ownership and the subsequent impacts on their access to water rights. This work, titled "Water, Land, and Power: The Legacy of Asian American Exclusion in the California Water Rights System," aims to draw attention to water equity issues in the state today. After graduating, Audrey will join the 2024-2025 class of Executive Fellows in Sacramento and hopes to continue advancing justice through a career in public service.
