4- H Camp Packing List Guidelines
Parents: Please review the 4-H Dress Code with your camper, help them to pack appropriate clothes for the week. http://4h.ucanr.edu/files/210170.pdf
Please pack anything that your 4-H camper requires.
4-H is not responsible for any lost items.
~ Please label ALL of Your Gear~
MEDICINE (Prescription & Over-The-Counter) will be handed over to the camp nurse upon arrival. Please provide prescribed medications in the original bottle or package.
A SNACK TO SHARE - Suggestions: Last Name A-F: a large box of Cheezits OR Goldfish OR Pretzels. G-M: A large bag of plain or flavored Chips. N-Z: A large box of individual gummy snacks OR fruit roll-ups OR dried fruit OR Seaweed Snacks OR Granola Bars. (nut free snacks are preferred)
BEDDING (Campers will sleep in cabins.)
Sleeping Bags (Cabins & beds and new mattresses)
Blankets & Sheets (if you don’t have a sleeping bag)
Pillows
Battery-operated lanterns/Flashlights/extra batteries
CLOTHING ITEMS ~ Please label ALL of Your Gear~
Any music-themed t-shirts (be sure they fit within 4-H
Pants/Shorts for daily use (4-5 pairs)
Tops/Shirts for daily use
Nice outfit for dance (optional)
Socks and Undergarments
Pajamas
Sandals or water-type shoes (great for to/from showers)
Swimsuits & shorts (for showers & pool activities)
Hats (for keeping out of the sun or staying warm)
Closed-toe shoes/boots (cabins are located in redwood forest area)
Belt (optional)
Sunglasses (optional)
Rain Poncho (we can’t predict the weather)
Outerwear (this camp is in the Santa Cruz Mountains with occasional fog and drizzle), (jackets, beanies, warm scarves, mittens, and sweatshirts will be a must for early morning and late-night/campfire)

No cell phones or electronics are permitted for campers and camp staffers. Phones may be left at home or labeled and safely stored at check-in.
Music devices that are not WiFi enabled may be used with headphones in the cabin during appropriate hours.
Health Officers, Chaperones, and Camp Directors will carry phones for emergency use only.

Items that fit with the “Music” theme or the name of your Camp Family.
PROHIBITED ITEMS:
Lighters, matches, and other flammable items are PROHIBITED, you will be sent home if bring
Alcohol, drugs, smoking or vaping supplies, PROHIBITED, you will be sent home if bring
Knives or weapons of any sort are PROHIBITED, you will be sent home if bring them.

Parking at Camp
Upon arrival, members of the 4-H Camp Staff will meet you at your car & direct you to the drop-off area.
Once your gear is unloaded, and the vehicle is parked in the lot, please proceed to check-in.
Please bring any medications with you to hand over to the camp nurse.
Once the camper’s luggage has been taken to their cabin, everyone should make their way to the recreation field.

Sleeping Assignments
(Assigned as gender and 4-H Age)
● Adults and Chaperones will be assigned zones where they will sleep. Chaperones in Male Camp and Female Camp areas need to bring and sleep in tents (you can share if you wish). If chaperones wish to sleep in cabins they need to be in groups of at least 2 chaperones.
Shower Assignments
Designated Shower times for campers will be listed on the camp schedule & posted in several places at camp.
Adults may use the assigned showers at any time of day.
Chaperones may use any gender-appropriate bathroom, any time of day
