Welcome to the 2026–27 academic year! In support of our commitment to sustainability, fostering connections and making UCC more accessible, we hope to help connect families who may be interested in carpooling for the academic year. The Admission team will collect your information and attempt to match you to a family (or families) who live nearby. It will then be your decision and responsibility to communicate further. 

If you are interested in joining this program, please fully complete this Google Form by August 30, 2026.

The Blues Shop, located on the lower level of the Upper School, sells a variety of UCC spirit wear, backpacks and gym bags, UCC-branded gifts and memorabilia, along with school and music supplies. 

The shop will open Friday, Sept. 4 and is fully stocked. No appointments are necessary.

This is a reminder to all families who have not completed their child(ren)'s School Health Form to do so to ensure your child can start classes this September. Please complete the form as soon as possible by following the steps below.

How to access our new Bluenet health portal

1. Log in to Bluenet using your credentials. Navigate to the Resource Board > School Health Forms.

2. Click "Get started" to access the portal and electronically submit your child's health info (medications, allergies and health history).

New and used textbook purchases can be made directly through the University of Toronto (U of T) Bookstore rather than at the College. Textbooks are ordered using the U of T Bookstore’s online ordering system, available here. The online ordering system is now active through to the end of the school year. Textbooks and course materials can be purchased online to be shipped to your address, or you can shop in person at their downtown location at 214 College Street. You can also request to have your order delivered to other University of Toronto campuses for pick up, this includes U of T Mississauga (UTM) or U of T Scarborough (UTSC). Click here to check the hours and addresses.

Boarding students may request that their orders be shipped directly to the College for distribution upon arrival in September. Please add the school address to the shipping address when the order is completed. The address is: 200 Lonsdale Road, Toronto, ON M4V 1W6. This option is for Boarding students only. 

If your course is not listed, there is no required text to be ordered. Any course materials needed will be communicated by your student’s teacher in the first week of school. U of T Bookstore will ship your order immediately. Publisher back-ordered books will ship as soon as they’re available.

It’s important for you to place your order as early as possible to help ensure your student has the textbooks needed to start the school year. Ordering early gives you the best selection of used books.

Orders will be shipped by UPS. It’s very important that you include a delivery address where someone will be available during business hours to sign for your shipment. Please consider using a business address rather than your home address for delivery, where appropriate.

Payment can be made by debit or credit (VISA, Mastercard, American Express).

Additional information 

A stock of UCC books will be carried by the U of T Bookstore throughout the academic year and may be ordered at any time. They can easily handle book returns if a student changes a course, and the books must be unmarked and in pristine condition to receive a full refund. There will be no restocking fee on books returned by Friday, October 9. For assistance, please contact U of T Bookstore directly at uppercanadacollege@uoftbookstore.com.

For Upper School students, please refer to the Course Requests tab in Bluenet for a list of student course enrolments. This list is visible in both the student and parent/guardian Bluenet accounts.

You're invited to the Norval Bioblitz Fall Open House.  We have created an interactive, outdoor learning experience for families and alumni.

The BioBlitz is a collaborative event where participants work together to identify and record different plant and animal species at the Norval Outdoor School.

Through guided activities, we'll engage in hands-on exploration, develop observation skills and build a deeper connection to the natural environment. The event will encourage curiosity, collaboration, and environmental awareness while contributing to a shared understanding of Norval's incredible biodiversity.

Participants will also have the opportunity to meet the bees with our beekeeper and make apple cider using the apples from our orchard.  

We encourage everyone to come to this brand new Norval Event!

Tips for the best Norval experience:

• Leashed dogs are more than welcome to join the outdoor fun, but please keep in mind that they’ll need to stay outside.

• To ensure we have parking space for everyone, please consider carpooling with fellow attendees.

• We’ll be celebrating no matter the weather, so dress in layers and come enjoy the outdoors with us!

Directions to Norval

Take Highway 401 west to Winston Churchill Boulevard. Follow Winston Churchill Boulevard north and go through the village of Norval. Continue straight ahead. The entrance to the Norval property is on your left, 1.2 kilometres north of the village stoplight. The drive takes about 50 minutes from UCC in light traffic.

We're proud to welcome this year's Casey Fellow, Dr. Christina Hinton, who will deliver a community presentation on Thursday, Oct. 8, about her work with Harvard University's Human Flourishing Project. 

Dr. Hinton is an internationally recognized academic with expertise in promoting character skills, loving relationships, and flourishing among children, adolescents, educators and parents. At the Human Flourishing Program at Harvard, she leads education research internationally, including, for example, randomized controlled trials on interventions to foster kindness, friendship, and flourishing, longitudinal studies on the distribution and determinants of flourishing in children and adolescents, and mixed methods studies on evidence-based practices to promote character skills and flourishing in schools. At the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she lectured for many years, she led research on related topics ranging from the neurobiological basis of empathy to a cosmopolitan ethic of care.
